A genuine confort

Wooden house protects against external aggressors, cold, heat, wind, noise. The wood’s natural qualities guarantees an excellent settlement in terms of heat and humidity, assuring you a healthy indoor air, both in summer and winter.

A wooden house is a house that breathes

Wood is a material that breathes, acting like a sponge: it absorbs moisture when it is in excess, keeping it moist when the air is too dry. Constantly maintaining a level of humidity of approximately 40%, a wooden house allows getting an indoor climate of the most comfortable.

Noise isolation is important

Noise isolation plays an important role in the comfort offered by any habitat. Wooden houses are constructed in panels that combines different materials, which are very effective and in terms of sound insulation.

Thermal isolation

Due to its cellular structure that captures the air in small volumes, wood is a low conductor of heat, which means that it is a very good thermal insulation. Thus, the wood protects from both cold and heat. The same thickness, wood has a power of insulation six times greater than brick, ten times higher than concrete, 350 times greater than steel and 1,700 times higher than that of aluminium. A wooden wall with a thickness of  only 16 cm has the same properties of insulating than a brick wall of 1 meter thick.

These qualities of thermal insulation of wood allow substantial savings in heating the House, up to 40% of the usual amount of the monthly bill. The same thermal insulation, the thickness of the walls of a House of wood will be smaller, allowing to obtain more space. Providing a thermal comfort regardless of the season, wooden houses and the European programmes respond to the needs of encouraging energy savings.

Rapid construction

With the exception of the Foundation, a House with wooden bones does not need time to dry up, and the construction is held surprisingly quickly. What normally would be called, in case our wooden panels and roof, as you can see here, in the workshop, and a “construction site” for a smaller project can be completed in just a few days. Compare this situation with a construction site which lasts, on average four months, generating a lot of waste, noise and disturbance.

Modularity and flexibility

Its characteristics allow the use of wood as a building material in any project, encouraging the creativity of architects. Wooden constructions can evolve without difficulty, amenities and subsequent expansions being facile. As a figure of speech, of course, we can say that nothing is beaten in stone in case of wooden houses …

Controling the quality and material use

Techniques of construction of wooden houses have been adapted to the needs of architects, economists , energy specialists and end users, guaranteeing a duration of use from them.  A wooden house is five times lighter than one built in a traditional way, requiring less material for Foundation can be raised and land softer.
